You have full control over your personal information. Easily delete your SplitPilot account and associated data at any time.

Self-Service Deletion Google Play Policy Compliant

1. Option A: Instant In-App Deletion (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account and immediately purge your data is directly inside the SplitPilot App:

Steps for In-App Account Removal:
  1. Open the SplitPilot app on your mobile device.
  2. Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Tap Settings (gear icon in the top right corner).
  4. Scroll down to the Account & Security section.
  5. Tap Delete Account and confirm your request.

Effect: Your Firebase authentication account, Firestore profile document, personal budget settings, and avatar links are permanently deleted from our servers instantly.

2. Option B: Web Account Deletion Request Form

If you no longer have access to the SplitPilot mobile application, you can submit a manual deletion request below. Our support team will process your deletion request within 48 hours.

3. What Data Is Permanently Deleted

Upon account deletion (whether via in-app action or web request), the following data is permanently purged from SplitPilot systems:

  • User Credentials & Profile: Firebase Authentication ID, Name, Email Address, Profile Photo, Country, Currency, and Timezone settings.
  • Personal Budget Ledgers: Personal expense items, monthly spending targets, category limits, and historical logs.
  • Group Memberships: Your member association in shared expense groups (group records remain for remaining active members, but your user profile reference is anonymized).
  • Notification Tokens: Push notification tokens and device registrants.

4. Local Device Data & Retention Policies

SplitPilot caches certain receipt images and ledger records locally on your device for fast offline availability. Uninstalling the SplitPilot app automatically removes all local device cache data.

We do not retain backup copies of deleted user accounts after the 48-hour processing window has elapsed.
